Water crystals are prefect for roaches, crickets, and other feeder insects to get the necessary amount of water without the mess! You can’t give these insects and open dish of water or they will drown and sponges start to smell and mold quickly.
When mixed with water, these water crystals will grow approximately 400%! 1 oz. of dry crystals will absorb about a gallon of water. For smaller quantities of gel, 1 teaspoon of the water crystals will absorb approximately 1 cup of water. Just place the crystals in a large bowl and add water. Wait 30 minutes or so and you will have beautiful ice looking crystals.If there is excess water, simply strain the water off.
Never flush or pour polymer crystals or gel down the drain. Polymer swelling could possibly clog drain pipes.
To dispose of used polymer crystals or polymer gel simply pour into flower beds, garden or mix with potting soil.
Crystal Polymer Gel is a non-toxic polymer that will not harm your plants, grass or soil.
The crystals are a ‘medium’ grade (.8-2.0mm in size).
These will also work in your plants/lawn for water retention. Also great for incubation when using the suspension method (G.E.O., THG Egg Tray, SIM incubator, etc).
